“Finding the right therapist is like dating.” – Lisa Schwartz
We’re so excited to have Youtuber and author of Thirty Life Crisis, Lisa Schwartz aka Lisbug, on DENtalks Podcast today! For anyone struggling with anxiety, depression, or OCD – this episode is proof that you are not alone. Lisa is very vulnerable with us as she dives into her experience with anxiety and OCD, healing childhood wounds, the key role relationships played in her finally getting help, how finding a therapist is like dating, and the many ways she’s learned to deal with her anxiety including using a mantra! She even shares advice on how to support someone who is suffering with anxiety, OCD, or depression – how to approach them and the proper verbiage we should all be aware of. Lisa also candidly shares about her past relationships and her public breakup with fellow youtuber, she has a really beautiful way of looking at these past relationships and shares her gratitude for each of them as they have helped her become the person she is today. Be sure to stick to the end where she shares a Dalai Lama quote for her Personal Practice!
