“I’ve always gravitated towards roles where I can learn the most and have the greatest impact." – Kirby Bumpus

This week’s DENtalks Podcast guest, Kirby Bumpus, has a lot to share about paving your own path. Kirby worked with First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House and is now Head of Social Impact at sweetgreen. We talk about the unpredictable path that led her to these positions, the meaning of social impact and its ever growing presence in the business world, and things you might look for when choosing your next job or career step. Kirby also discusses what it was like to work for the First Lady, mindful eating, and rounds out our talk with a reminder of how important gratitude and positivity are in shaping our day-to-day lives… and just how meaningful a simple selfie can be.

“These days, the biggest pressure is ‘are my ideas big enough?” – Kirby Bumpus
