"Cultivating Kindness"

“We are born into this world with an open mind and an open heart.” – Amanda Gilbert

We are thrilled to welcome a long time DEN teacher, speaker, and author of the new book “Kindness Now: A 28-Day Guide to Living with Authenticity, Intention, and Compassion,” Amanda Gilbert, to DENtalks! We loved sitting down with Amanda to hear how her book took shape during the pandemic, how she finds these practices will impact our society, and so much more. We dive into the importance of self compassion, cultivating kindness to ourselves and others, and how to work with the heart practices. Amanda even shares with us her first experience with meditation back in high school and also her first experience with loving kindness meditation with the one and only Jack Kornfield that really began to soften and transform her life. This episode is filled with so many powerful teachings. Amanda is a beautiful teacher and we know you will fall in love with her, this episode, and her new book.

“We’re all in this human moment, this human condition together.” – Amanda Gilbert
