"Welcome to Your Microbiome"

“The microbiome is redefining our sense of self.” – Ara Katz

This week co-founder and co-CEO of Seed, Ara Katz, joins DENtalks to break down everything you need to know about your microbiome – think gut health, bacteria, and probiotics – into an easy-to-understand, digestible format (pun intended!) Named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in America by Marie Claire, and part of the Silicon Alley Top 100 and 36 Rockstar Women in NYC Tech by Business Insider, Ara is on a mission to educate people about how the growing research around our microbiome can change human and planetary health alike. We talk about how science can be spiritual, what exactly the difference between a probiotic and prebiotic is and where you can and can’t actually get them, and how this new body of research is bridging much of the historical divide between Eastern and Western medicine. Stay tuned for a special personal practice Ara uses at the office and an exclusive promo code to try combined probiotic and prebiotic Seed for listeners!
