"A Woman’s Cycle of Empowerment"

101

“If you have a womb, it’s an oracle if you let it be.” – Lisa Lister

We have a very special episode for all you ladies (and men with lady friends) out there… This week we have the one and only author, creatrix, yoga teacher, therapist, and overall badass woman – Lisa Lister on DENtalks! We’ve been waiting to do this episode for almost a year and it was well worth the wait. Travelling all the way from Europe, Lisa joins us in Los Angeles for a conversation all about honoring your womanhood. Lisa comes from a lineage of gypsys and is the author of Witch, Code Red, and Love Your Lady Landscape and offers a safe space of support, guidance, and tools for women who are exploring their cyclic nature. Lisa shares with us her journey to reconnecting with her body after being diagnosed with PCOS and Endometriosis, which eventually led her down a path of helping other women reconnect with their womanhood. We discuss the history of the period, how women were known as goddesses for being fertile and creating life, the eventual dismantling of the goddess, the introduction of the patriarchy and the structures it has instilled on us today, how our menstrual cycle is connected to the moon cycle, when in our menstrual cycle we are most intuitive, and how your womb is an oracle if you are open and connected. If you want to reconnect to the goddess within you then don’t miss Lisa’s Personal Practice where she guides us through a beautiful Womb Connection Meditation that you can do at home!

“When we know ourselves, we get our power back.” – Lisa Lister

  1. Type of Meditation you rely on most?
Psychic Meditation which is energy tools, visual meditation which is also her personal practice
  2. Helpful tip for valuable meditation?
Focus on your breath, take the pressure off yourself that you have to do it right. Keep showing up and try different meditation to find what works for you.
  3. Self-Care Hack?
I make sure to clear everyone out of my space every night and get out into nature. I clear people’s energy by creating a bubble out infront of you, putting everyone from the day in that bubble, and then blow up the bubble. This gives the person their energy back.
  4. If you could give any piece of life advice what would it be?
If you don’t like how things are going, believe that you can change your perception and everything else will change.
